Event Description:
Truckee River Winery's 2018 Wine n' Ice will take place on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 and will benefit the Truckee River Watershed Foundation, a local nonprofit that "identifies, coordinates, funds and implements restoration, prevention and monitoring projects directly related to the health, beauty, and economy of the watershed." This year’s Wine n Ice event will be dedicated to Chris Banovich, 5 time winner and founding collaborator of our Ice Carving Competition. 10 Competitors will be given the chance to sculpt 300lb blocks of ice into gorgeous, alluring, and awe-inspiring sculptures.The carving theme this year will be centered around the Truckee River Watershed Council's new motto "FORIVER!". The Top 3 contestants will win an assortment of prizes. The Grand Prize Winner will receive a trophy, prizes, and a year's worth of bragging rights!  
 
Artist Registration: $50 donation to the Banovich Memorial Fund. Truckee River Winery will be purchasing all ice blocks. Participants must be 18 years or older and provide their own carving tools. 

The main attraction will be the ice carving competition, but guests will also be able to enjoy Truckee River Winery's award-winning wines, special treats from Mountain Valley Meats, beer from The Brewing Lair, amazing stylings of DJ Chango, and many fun outdoor winter games.

Spectator tickets are $10 and includes a souvenir wine glass, Mardi Gras beads and donation for
Truckee River Watershed Council.
