Event Description:

This Italian Easter menu is a pure celebration of food.  Like all holidays in Italy, Easter (Pasqua in Italian) the focus is always on a great meal and good company. Welcome spring by sharing this special Italian inspired Easter dinner with friends, family and friends, created by Chef Alex Downing.

Welcome

sparkling aperitif

Canapes
sausage, mushroom, and ricotta stuffed fried raviolis, tomato-basil aioli
miniature pizzagaina tartlets, prosciutto, capricola, pepperoni
red wine braised lamb stuffed roasted mushrooms, gorgonzola creme fraiche, grana padano
basil leaf wrapped buratta and marinated sundried tomato, basil infused EVOO, black lava salt

 

First Course
albacore crudo, with grilled asparagus tip and wild arugula salad, marinated sundried tomato, capers, castelvestrano puree, lemon infused EVOO, bottarga

Second Course
handmade papardelle with duck confit and porcini mushroom ragu, grana padano, micro basil

Entree
rosemary crusted pan seared sea bream, mixed seafood sauce with mussels, scallops, shrimp, and squid over creamy polenta, pecorino romano

Dessert
lemon-poppy custard stuffed cannoli, elderflower glaze, white chocolate chantilly, blood orange syrup, crushed pistachio
