Come celebrate the 45th year of the Truckee Professional Rodeo on August 23th-25th, 2018 at McIver Arena in Truckee, California, starting off Friday afternoon with kids day at the rodeo and rodeo events and performances Saturday and Sunday with a Western Dance Saturday evening.
Friday, August 23rd: Kid’s Day at the Rodeo, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Join us for an afternoon of fun and FREE rodeo themed activities! Kids can learn to rope, run stick horse races, have a chance to brush a horse, learn about rodeo from our rodeo queens, watch a performance by the Truckee Donner Junior Horsemen Drill Team, and enjoy a free barbecue lunch courtesy of the Truckee Donner Junior Horsemen Association. Friday, August 23rd: Sponsors Only BBQ Dinner and Open Barrel Race 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Join us for a mouth watering BBQ Dinner catered by Men Wielding Fire and open 4D barrel race! Be sure to check your sponsor packages for tickets to this event. This is a private sponsors only appreciation dinner.
Saturday, August 24th: Rodeo Performance, 5:00 – 7:30 p.m., Gates Open at 3:00 p.m.
In addition to the traditional CCPRA rodeo events including bull riding, we will also have mutton bustin’ and a boot race for the kids. You won’t want to miss out on the fun! The Truckee Donner Junior Horsemen Drill Team will perform at 4:45 p.m. (15 minutes prior to the start of the rodeo). Saturday is Patriot Day at the Truckee Pro Rodeo! Wear your red, white, and blue!
