CrossFit Blizzard Introduces New Group Fitness Classes, First 3 Classes Free for Locals
Truckee-based Gym Helps People of All Ages and Ability Levels Improve Their Fitness Under Guidance of Professional Coaches

TRUCKEE, Calif. - March 16, 2018 - With workouts designed to help Truckee residents and visitors of all ages and abilities improve their fitness under the guidance of professional coaches, CrossFit Blizzard recently expanded its class schedule and offering. Group fitness classes now begin as early as 6 a.m., with the latest class starting at 6:30 p.m. Trainer-led CrossFit classes are offered seven days per week and are designed to improve strength, speed, power, flexibility, coordination, endurance, stamina, accuracy, agility and balance. New sports conditioning classes consist of circuit-style workouts featuring bodyweight and light weight movements and are offered five days per week.

“Our number one priority is to keep people safe, while also helping them achieve their fitness and health goals,” said Travis Weaver, owner and trainer at CrossFit Blizzard. “To give people a feel for what we have to offer and how we can help improve their fitness and prepare them for whatever they may be training for, we invite local residents to sign up and come in for their first three classes free.”

CrossFit Teens classes are also offered two days per week for kids ages 12-16. Designed to encourage proper movement mechanics, enhance sports performance and fewer sports injuries, CrossFit Teens classes are broad, inclusive and fun! The program is scalable for all ages and experience levels. Classes take place from 3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays. To register, visit crossfitblizzard.wodify.com. CrossFit Blizzard has been located in the Pioneer Center in Truckee since 2010, and is led by Travis Weaver, a Certified Personal Trainer and CrossFit Level 2 Trainer. Weaver is also a postural assessment specialist, trained in the posture correction and pain relief practice called The Egoscue Method. CrossFit Blizzard’s team of experienced coaches are dedicated to helping participants learn and implement proper movement mechanics and technique.
