Beginning TUESDAY, OCTOBER 3rd Project MANA, Tahoe Truckee’s local food pantry will be relocating food their Truckee-based supplemental food distribution site to the Truckee Donner Senior Apartments.
New location: The Truckee Donner Senior Apartments Community Room
10040 Estates Drive in Truckee (near Truckee Skate park and Rodeo Grounds)
Time change: Project MANA supplemental food distribution will occur in the Community Room from 3:30 – 4:00 pm each Tuesday.
Parking: Community members may park in parking lot or on the street (no parking in covered spaces)
Public Transportation: There is a Truckee TART bus stop located at Estates Dr @ Senior Apartments. It stops at 11 minutes after every hour (530-550-7451).
Project MANA is making this location change, with the generous support of Sierra Senior Services who manage the community room, to better serve our Truckee Community members. Distribution at the new site allows Truckee Donner Senior Apartments’ residents who already receive home-delivery through our FACE program the option to visit our regular distribution, providing them more choice in their weekly supplement food, if they are capable and helping to cut down our carbon footprint. Home delivery will still be provided to the apartment residents, as well as other community members, who require it.
