Tahoe Forest Church is excited to share that Easter Sunday Service will be held at the Truckee Rec Center on Sunday, March 31st from 9:30am -11:00am. An Easter egg hunt with over 3,000 eggs will occur at 9:30am sharp. There are two age groups for the egg hunt: five and under, and six and up. Free coffee and refreshments will be provided. A themed selfie photo booth will also be available along with a live translation option for our Spanish speaking guests. “We’re excited to offer this free event to the town in a space large enough to welcome the Tahoe community to hear the Easter message,” commented Lead Pastor Terrence Sutton. “We know there are a lot of people visiting Truckee at this time, so we’re thrilled to offer a convenient location for families to gather and celebrate the Easter holiday.” Tahoe Forest Church has initiated many community-oriented activities such as Christmas in Truckee, which is held in Historic Downtown Truckee. Other community events include a themed Trick or Treat Handout in downtown Truckee for Halloween, free snow cones and patriotic temporary tattoos during the 4th of July parade, and during Covid shared the Easter message on Truckee Tahoe Radio. “The Church should exist to love and serve the community in which it lives. We are grateful to invest time, energy, and resources to make all of Tahoe a better place,” commented Sutton. Tahoe Forest Church is located off the Hirschdale exit in Truckee, near the bottom of the hill in Glenshire, and has Sunday gatherings at 10:00 a.m. In the warmer months (May-October), Sunday church gatherings are offered in their shaded outdoor amphitheater.
