Sierra Business Council (SBC)’s Small Business Development Center (Sierra SBDC) is excited to announce the return of the Etsy Craft Entrepreneurship course, an innovative program that provides micro-business training to adults with existing creative skills, to help supplement their income and sell their product to new markets. In 2019, the Sierra SBDC is rolling out a new format, condensing the course into two workshops over the course of a week, with optional add-ons to complete a more traditional business training.
Kicking off Tuesday, May 7th, accepted applicants will participate in two workshops that will guide them through becoming craft entrepreneurs.
Deadline to apply is May 3rd.
The program utilizes Etsy’s platform for selling creative goods as the real-world learning lab and leverages the Sierra SBDC’s business expertise. Classes are taught by successful local jewelry designer Krista Tranquilla of Tranquilla Studios.
The program is free and will take place at Sierra Business Council on Tuesday, May 7th from 5:30-8:30pm and Saturday, May 11th at 9am-2pm. In addition, participants are encouraged to attend the free Startup Basics workshop on May 14th at 5:30pm to learn more about the operations of starting and running a business.
