The June 14th Good Morning Truckee features three very interesting and diverse speakers. Eric Horntvedt, Wildfire Prevention Manager for the Truckee Fire Protection District will discuss how Measure T funds are being spent on various fuel reduction and wildfire prevention projects to reduce the threat of wildfire in the Truckee and Donner Summit wildland-urban interface areas.
Wendy Damonte, Executive Director of Martis Camp Foundation will provide an overview of the foundation and their three main areas of focus including: community grants; college scholarships; ambassador scholarships.
John Svahn, Executive Director of the Truckee Donner Land Trust will discuss how, in addition to preserving nearly 40,000 acres of open space, they have also built trails and created numerous opportunities for the public to access and enjoy these lands.
Good Morning Truckee has returned to meeting IN PERSON at the Truckee Town Hall, 10183 Truckee Airport Rd. from 7:00-8:30am. Meeting is also available watch through ZOOM, livestream at TAHOETRUCKEEMEDIA.ORG or on Suddenlink Channel 18. The sessions are recorded and available for viewing at a future date.
