Six restaurants and six bands will compete for the titles of “Best Wings” and “Best Band” during the 13th annual Guitar Strings vs. Chicken Wings. Cast your votes while enjoying live music, signature wings, and drinks throughout The Village.

Wing Packages
  • $10: Entry donation to the Tahoe Institute for Natural Science
  • $25: Two orders of wings (8 wings) and 6 voting tokens; recommended for one person
  • $50: Four orders of wings (16 wings) and 12 voting tokens; recommended for two people
  • $95: Eight orders of wings (32 wings) and 24 voting tokens; recommended for four people
  • $10: One additional order of wings (4 wings)
  • $5: 6 additional voting tokens
Drinks
  • $7: Beer or non-alcoholic beverage
  • $8: Wine by the glass
  • $12: Cocktail

Tickets and drinks will be available beginning at 4 p.m. Additional voting tokens and wing orders can be purchased at the registration booth.

How Voting Works

Voting tokens are color coordinated: blue tokens are used to vote for bands, and red tokens are used to vote for wings. Only tokens that match the color of the voting box will count. Wing tickets and incorrectly colored voting tokens will not be counted as votes.

Benefiting TINS

All event proceeds benefit the Tahoe Institute for Natural Science, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing the natural history, conservation, and ecosystem knowledge of the Tahoe region through science, education, and outreach. TINS education programs serve more than 8,200 students each year.
