American Heart Association Friends and Family CPR Class
Be prepared for life-threatening emergencies.
Unintentional choking and suffocation are the leading causes of all injury deaths for infants under age one. In this class, you will learn:
- To recognize when an infant or child needs rescue breathing
- How to perform CPR
- How to care for an infant who is choking
- To use an AED (automatic external defibrillator)
You will receive an infant/child CPR manual and have hands-on practice with an infant and child manikin.
This class is appropriate for anyone who will be taking care of an infant or child, including the mother, father, and any caregivers like grandparents, friends or babysitters.
You can help save a life!
