In partnership with California State Parks and the Nevada County Library, the monthly Sierra Speaker Series connects folks to the rich cultural and natural history of the area. Join us at Donner Memorial State Park Visitor Center to learn and engage! Admission is a suggested $5 donation. Light refreshments will be available. No registration required.

Donner Memorial State Park is located within the traditional territory and ancestral homeland of the Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California. Herman Fillmore, Cultural Resource Director for the Washoe Tribe, presents tribal history, traditional practices, and contemporary initiatives. Herman's presentation will explore centuries of Washoe resilience, vibrant culture, and how the Washoe Tribe is thriving in the modern day.
