Event Description:

In this class, students will work directly with Restaurant Trokay owner Nyna Weatherson as they create and design charcuterie and dessert plates while simultaneously shooting photos of the ingredients and each other working in the kitchen as the plates are built.

Once each plate is set, participants move to the photography station where Grant Kaye will guide everyone through making compelling images - one with available light, and one with an affordable table-top light tent kit. Students may use any type of camera for this class, including smartphones, but best results will be obtained from a Digital SLR camera with a macro lens. Our goal in this class is to have fun, learn the ins and outs of building a share worthy charcuterie and dessert plate, and then to use the power of artistic photography to preserve the plate’s fleeting beauty before it is enjoyed by the participants!

Foodie Photographers who stay for dinner will receive 10% off their meal. Early reservations are recommended for this unique opportunity.

This workshop will be held upstairs at Restaurant Trokay.
