Event Description:

Miles That Matter is a student-led 5K run and community festival happening on September 21, 2025, at Truckee River Regional Park. The event raises funds to support girls in Moshi, Tanzania by providing: Reusable menstrual cups An EmpowerHER workbook covering menstrual & reproductive health, financial literacy, confidence, and leadership skills. Beyond the run, Miles That Matter brings the community together with local vendors, a raffle, live music, food, and games. Every participant and donor receives a handmade bracelet as a symbol of global sisterhood, plus a raffle ticket for every $10 donated.

- The festival is free to attend (with donations kindly encouraged). - $40 race registration ($20 for participants under 18 or currently in school) - $10 donation for a bracelet and raffle ticket
