Event Description:
Tahoe Silicon Mountain, a local network of entrepreneurs and professionals, is pleased to welcome Deirdre Henderson and Matt Tucker for July's Mountain Minds Monday. They will present on how Truckee locals are working to mitigate climate change.

Henderson and Tucker will discuss the different actions being taken both nationally and in the local community to help address climate change, and let the attendees know how they can help.

Henderson is the founder of the North Tahoe chapter of Citizens' Climate Lobby and is co-chair of 100% Renewable Truckee, the citizens' group that initiated the Town of Truckee's 100% renewable resolution. She sits on the Climate Action Subcommittee of the Truckee's General Plan Advisory Committee. Tucker is the Citizens' Climate Lobby liaison to California District 4's member of congress Tom McClintock and is the co-lead of the Citizens'Climate Lobby's Outdoor Industry Action Team.

Pizza and salad are available and we use a pay-what-you-can model ($5 minimum). Before and after the presentation, there will be time for networking.
