The play follows Wayne Hopkins, an average boy from New Mexico, who discovers he's a wizard and is sent to a certain famous magic school. Upon arriving, Wayne befriends the nervous but intelligent Oliver and the fiercely determined Megan. Together, they navigate seven years of magical misadventures, dangerous tournaments, dark threats, and a very famous boy who always seems to steal the spotlight.
As the Puffs struggle to prove they are more than just the "extras" of the school, they learn important lessons about friendship, bravery, and what it truly means to be a hero. With plenty of humor, heart, and a fresh perspective on a well-loved tale, Puffs celebrates the magic of being part of something special—even if you aren't destined to save the world.
This two-act adaptation, designed for young performers, maintains the play's signature humor and heart while making the story accessible for younger wizards-in-training.
