Join us for an evening with Jordan Fisher-Smith, author of Engineering Eden, as he discusses his critically acclaimed book on December 16. Doors open at 5 pm at the Donner Memorial State Park Visitor Center, and the program begins at 5:30 pm and ends at 6:30 pm.
Jordan questions if humans can actually manage nature. In 1975 the Department of Interior was sued for mismanagement after a young man was killed and eaten by a grizzly bear in Yellowstone National Park. Fisher-Smith follows the trial arguments of two of the greatest 20th century wildlife biologists as they struggle with the answer. Engineering Eden will be available for sale and signing after the program.
To attend we ask for a $5 suggested donation and parking is free.
