Sierra State Parks Foundation - Hike for Parks July 27-September 7th

Join us for our fun “Hike for Parks” fundraiser taking place between July 27th and September 7th. The community is invited to get outside and walk/run/hike to raise funds for our parks. Participants are encouraged to explore the many trails within our California State Parks, both in Tahoe and in your own neighborhood, track their miles and raise funds for our parks. The $35 participation fee is a fundraiser for the Sierra State Parks Foundation. All participants will receive a beautiful completion certificate suitable for framing and our sincere appreciation.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the majority of our critical fundraising events have been canceled, leaving us with a significant financial deficit while the need to continue staffing and maintaining our park facilities remains. “Hike for Parks is a great way for our supporters to keep our parks operating and enjoy the mental and physical benefits of our parklands,” says Heidi Doyle, Sierra State Parks Foundation Executive Director.
