Songs for Sinners and Saints

Truckee Tahoe Community Chorus and Diablo Valley College Philharmonic Orchestra present "Songs for Sinners and Saints" at the North Tahoe Event Center in Kings Beach. This concert explores the innate, human notions of vice, virtue, and redemption. The concert includes both serious and tongue-in-cheek tales of shame, guilt, deception, lust, jealousy, and gluttony balanced by stories of fidelity, forgiveness, hope, reverence, and sainthood. The program includes Brahms' Shicksalslied, Op. 54 (Song of Destiny) that depicts dualities such as light and dark, hope and despair, peace, and suffering... dualities that mirror our very human essence, the sinner and the saint.
