Mountain Arts Collective began in 2017 with three local artists who wanted to showcase quality art created by individuals closely connected to the community. Their goal is to create a dynamic space that will attract locals and visitors with high-end statement pieces to more affordable art and gifts.
Meet the artists:
Dan Gaube specializes in nature-inspired woodwork and jewelry, combining various materials from nature into modern works of art.
Nancy Beckert is a fiber artist whose passion for the age-old tradition of weaving has led her to explore techniques and cultures from all over the world including Navajo weaving, Andean Pebble Weaving and Kumihimo, the art of Japanese braiding.
Doug Jones is a photographer whose work reflects his unique perspective of the natural world.
Ian Scott is a 19th century-inspired landscape painter who is never at a loss for inspiration here in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
