Truckee Foodware Ordinance Peer Sharing Group

Truckee food vendors: you are invited! Learn about Truckee’s foodware ordinance that goes into effect January 1, 2024. This event will be focused on discussing implementation successes and challenges with fellow Truckee food vendors as a peer-learning opportunity. Plus, view Coffeebar Truckee’s process for providing reusable dishware for in-house dining, accepting customer-provided reusables, and their new reusable to-go cup program.

Truckee’s Foodware Reduction Ordinance (effective 1/1/2024) requires:

• $0.25 fee for each disposable cup and takeout container provided with to-go orders.
• Reusable dishware must be provided for on-site dining
• Disposable accessory foodware items (utensils, condiments, etc.) must only be provided if requested by the customer.
