SUMMARY:Adult Mental Health First Aid Certification
DESCRIPTION:Sometimes first aid isn't a bandage or CPR. Sometimes\, first aid is YOU.\n\nAdult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an 8-hour course that prepares members of the public to provide first aid for mental ill health to those in need. Just as CPR training helps a person without a clinical background to assist an individual experiencing a heart attack\, MHFA is the initial help given to a person showing symptoms of mental illness or in a mental health crisis until appropriate professional or other help\, including peer and family support\, can be engaged.\n\nAdult MHFA is an evidence-based early intervention public education program that builds mental health literacy. This workshop will help members of our community identify\, understand\, and respond to signs of mental ill health.\n\nTWO REQUIRED LIVE SESSIONS:\n\n\n	\n	FRIDAY\, OCTOBER 30\, 2026 - 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM PT\n	\n	\n	FRIDAY\, NOVEMBER 13\, 2026 - 8:00AM - 12:00PM PT\n	\n\n\nVIRTUAL CERTIFICATION | PAY WHAT YOU CAN\n\nLearn how to notice\, ask and respond when an adult may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge.\n\nSpace is limited.
