Job Description
Gallery Keoki is seeking a Gallery Manager to provide operational management of the Gallery while ensuring that all aspects of business administration, production and logistics are fulfilled.  This full-time position provides leadership to the Gallery as an operational unit and streamlines Gallery processes for optimum effectiveness. 
 
We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic person with knowledge of high-end luxury merchandise and sales to oversee the daily operations of the Gallery.  As a Tahoe-based Gallery presenting Nature-focused fine art photography, we are looking for someone who also has a passion for the mountains, travel and the wonders of Nature. The Gallery Manager must present well and have a professional demeanor, superior communication, social, conversation, and writing skills.
 
Responsibilities
  • To provide the Gallery with operational and administrative leadership
  • To help improve and maintain operational efficiency
  • To bring excellence to the Gallery environment in tune with our brand identity
  • To manage on-time production of Gallery and client orders, while maintaining an accurate and relevant flow of information to the sales team
  • To maintain excellent vendor relationships
  • To support brand development
  • To provide excellent customer service

  • Proven leadership and management skills
  • Self-directed, well-organized, strong planning, organizational and time-management skills, the ability to track and manage multiple projects, to set priorities and to follow through effectively
  • Demonstrates ownership and accountability in job responsibilities
  • Proven ability to work and deliver on hard deadlines
  • Proven ability to be cost-conscious
  • Good interpersonal skills, good communication skills, verbal and writing
  • Comfortable talking to all social and socioeconomic levels; we deal with a sophisticated and varied clientele
  • Ability to memorize our product range, including approx. 200 photographs by name, format and various production methods, price points, etc.
  • Good analytical skills
  • Spreadsheet analysis, with strong mathematical skills
  • Positive, collaborative and inclusive team player
 
Education and Experience
  • College education
  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in coordination of production and administration or related fields, with demonstrated success
  • Experience with developing and implementing systems
  • Retail manager experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (required)
  • Proficiency with DropBox, Google Docs and FTP sites (required)
  • Basic Photoshop skills
  • Aptitude to learn and grow ?
