Job Description
We are seeking a visionary Executive Chef, driven to bring our culinary offerings to the next level. In managing all aspects of the back-of-the-house operations for the four one-of-a-kind restaurants and an event business for the Club, the ideal Chef will be challenged with creating culinary excellence that redefines our dining experience and becomes another reason the world will take notice of TMC. The In’s and Out’s of the Role
- Menu Development: Work with Sous Chef & Line staff to create menus based on seasonal ingredients, cooking techniques, profitability and creativity.
- Business leader: Help set the vision and operating plan for TMC’s growing wedding and event business to establish a leadership position in the Tahoe Market.
- Manager & Mentor: Lead all back of house food and beverage operations with a focus on quality, creativity and efficiency. hire, train and mentor the kitchen team to deliver great execution for our guests and to further develop within their own culinary careers.
 
Some must-haves and preferences
- A proven track record of creative menu development paired with strategies for cost efficiency and staff accountability.
- 5+ years of high volume culinary experience in a country club or similar type setting
- A culinary degree or certification from an accredited Institution
 
Other Details to Note
The Executive Chef reports to the Director of Food and Beverage, supervises a Sous Chef, 20+ kitchen staff members, and works closely with Restaurant Managers, the Director of Special Events Sales and Member Events Staff.
