  • About

Our mission at Truckee Donner Recreation and Park District is to inspire creative, active lives for a healthy mountain community.

TDRPD is a special district of Nevada County, located in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California, west of the Nevada state line. The area is the Gateway to the North Lake Tahoe resort areas.>

We offer a full schedule of sports and programs for youth and adults year-round at facilities that TDPRD manages, including Truckee's Community Art Center, Community Pool, Community Recreation Center, the Ponderosa Golf Course, and the Veteran's Building.

Check our website for the latest Activities Guide, listing all of our available programs.

We also manage several of Truckee's parks, including sports and recreation facilities within them: Truckee River Regional Park, Riverview Sports Park, Meadow Park, Bill Rose Park, and Shoreline Park, West End Beach and the public piers on Donner Lake.

Many major ski resorts are minutes away, including Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Boreal Ridge, and Northstar at Tahoe. Donner Lake and Donner State Memorial Park lie within the recreation district’s boundaries. There are also several large reservoirs and Forest Service campgrounds in the immediate area.
