Take the bus to and from work, or to explore the Truckee-Tahoe area with TART (Truckee Tahoe Area Regional Transit) system. TART is a safe and direct means of reliable transportation service for Tahoe residents and visitors that provides a comprehensive schedule. Enjoy a comfortable and pleasant ride aboard a bus within Truckee or to Lake Tahoe, Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Northstar, Crystal Bay, and Incline Village. TART operates seven days a week, including Christmas Day and all holidays.
Routes + Schedules
Tahoe Truckee Area Regional Transit (TART) offers daily regional connections throughout Truckee and North Lake Tahoe. Take the bus to save gas, time finding parking, and reduce your carbon footprint.
Free Truckee Fares:
Ride for free on the Tahoe Truckee Area Regional Transportation (TART) Truckee local fixed route provided by the Town of Truckee. Truckee TART Dial-a-Ride will also provide free to the passenger bus service for ADA certified passengers as of July 1, 2018.
Free Shuttle Services:
Free shuttle service is available for Truckee Thursdays. Additionally, the Tahoe Donner Association will also be providing FREE shuttle service for Truckee Thursdays to and from Trout Creek Recreation Center/Downtown.
Winter time free neighborhood shuttle service is provided seasonally to residents and visitors during the holidays from December 26 - December 31st annually. The free shuttle service travels to and from Downtown Truckee from local neighborhoods, Squaw Valley, and Northstar.
Attendees can travel safely and focus on having fun without the worry about parking their car and driving thanks to the Town of Truckee in partnership with Truckee TTBID, Truckee Tahoe Airport District, Northstar, Glenshire/Devonshire Residents Association, TDMA, and the TMA.

Park & Ride
During the winter months, ACTIVE: DECEMBER 28, 2018 - MARCH 11, 2019 the Winter Park and Ride program provides free bus service every 30-minutes during peak morning and evening periods from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends from late December through mid-March between Truckee park and ride locations to Squaw Valley along the state Route 89 corridor and Northstar along the state Route 267 corridor.

PARK LOCATION - TRUCKEE TO SQUAW:
For Squaw shuttle - Park at the Tahoe-Truckee Unified School District parking lot left of the ball fields and track next to Sierra Expeditionary Learning School. If traveling to Alpine Meadows, skiers and riders can take the Truckee to Squaw shuttle then connect to Alpine Meadows via the Squaw Alpine Express shuttle.

For Truckee to Northstar Shuttle park at the Truckee Tahoe Airport. From Truckee on CA-267 turn left at the light signal onto Truckee Airport Rd, left on Chandelle Rd, and then left into the coned-off tarmac parking lot.
