With a full range of programs in Alpine and Nordic skiing, Snowboarding and Biathlon, Auburn Ski Club Training Center on Donner Summit provides affordable winter recreation opportunities for athletes and families across the region. Adjacent to Boreal Mtn. Resort, ASC Training Center is easily accessible with ample free parking, a beautiful 6,000 sq. ft. Lodge, a “sprung structure” with indoor workout space, a 25km cross country trail system and competition venue and a dedicated race arena at Boreal.

Cross country programs start at age 3 with Mini-Sliders, and progress all the way to Nordic Masters. Seasonal tuition, which includes 14 Saturday morning sessions and equipment for a child in Super Sliders (ages 4-9) is only $350. As an added bonus, tuition also includes entry into all of the Training Center’s Nordic races, discounts for siblings and discounts on parent’s XC season passes.
All winter programs and the 25km Cross Country trail system are open to the public. With inexpensive day use rates and XC season pass prices of only $45 for youth, $75 for Seniors and $129 for adults, Cross Country skiers can enjoy the longest Nordic season and best grooming in Truckee/Tahoe. Season passes also come with 5 free nights of downhill skiing or riding at Boreal Mtn. Resort!

ASC Training Center’s Alpine Skiing and Snowboard programs have been introducing children to the joy and excitement of winter sports for decades. In fact, many of the current coaches grew up skiing in the programs themselves! In addition to Saturday programs for youngsters just starting out, the Alpine Department offers a Comp/Devo team for serious Alpine racers ages ten to eighteen competing in Tahoe League and Far West divisions. On the Snowboard side, there are nine different program choices serving beginning riders all the way up to World Cup level athletes.

The increasingly popular Biathlon program, directed by former Olympian Glenn Jobe, trains biathletes age 11 and up with Youth, Junior and Senior/Masters divisions, as well as clinics and races throughout the season open to the general public.
