What a GREAT community effort to organize and distribute PPE provided by the California State and Nevada County Offices of Emergency Response. Hats off to Courtney Henderson, who organized all of the volunteer efforts and thanks to volunteers from Grocery Outlet, Sierra Business Council, Truckee Chamber of Commerce, Truckee Downtown Merchants Association and Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation.
Our newest local businesses provided bags and refreshment donations for volunteers: Raley's O-N-E Market, Grocery Outlet, and Mountain Hardware & Sports.
South Fork Vodka company out of Grass Valley has also provided extra bottles of hand sanitizer that they made locally to add to what the state sent. Thanks also to Truckee Tahoe Airport & Truckee Donner Rec and Park for the storage and distribution space! We're grateful for all of these Truckee organizations and volunteers.
Small businesses are able to pick up their free PPE - Tuesday, July 28 through Thursday, July 30 at the Truckee Rodeo Grounds. You can still register to pick up free face masks and hand sanitizer - a 30-day supply for each employee (for small businesses and nonprofits, 25 people or fewer).

Machelle Johnson and her daughter, London, have volunteered many hours of their time at the Truckee Train Depot, handing out face masks to those who didn't have them over the past several weeks. We appreciate Machelle's initiative and drive to help keep Truckee safe.
