The Truckee Chamber’s Annual Awards Dinner held October 20, 2017, at The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe celebrates the people, businesses, and organizations that make our community such a great place to live and visit. With more than 400 people in attendance, it was an evening of fun, entertainment, and recognition of their peers.
Awards were presented to recognize local businesses or members who have exemplified outstanding involvement in the community and its issues, those who have contributed significantly to our economy and local labor market, or have shown staying power and growth in our business community.

A powerful moment of the evening was the presentation of a Special Recognition Award to a 13-year-old named Johan Sotelo. Johan received numerous nominations touting his exemplary volunteer service and work ethic from many Truckee organizations. He is a model and inspiration for the community’s youth.
