TRUCKEE, Calif. – October 10, 2019

The Truckee Jobs Collective, a product created by the Employer Co-op Project Team, Truckee Tomorrow Investors and the Truckee Chamber Of Commerce launched in summer 2019.

The TJC is a multi-faceted approach addressing recruitment and retention issues in Truckee. The two main goals of this product are to provide tools and resources that drive rapid recruitment and  help shift the Truckee businesses environment to a collaborative culture.

This involves a web portal (TruckeeJobsCollective.com), in addition to in-person collaboration meetings (bringing businesses and employees together), supported by a TJC Liaison (person) and promoted with a robust communications campaign.

The TJC website consolidates disparate information for both employers and job seekers facilitating faster and easier connections. What makes the TJC site unique are two key features not seen in benchmarking.

  • Employer Benefits/Perks can be searched from eight compartmentalized buckets.
  • Company culture videos are filmed on an iphone to produce 2-3 minute videos. These videos can also be viewed on our YouTube channel.

The in-person collaboration meetings (Employer-To-Employer Roundtable and Truckee Jobs Collective Meetups) facilitated deeper connections within the business community fostering new relationships, ideas and improved recruitment and retention.

Employer-To-Employer Roundtable meetings:

These meetings give local employers an opportunity/platform to come together in person (not via email or web portal) as a place to network and brainstorm how to help one another with hiring needs. Each attendee participates in a stump speeches to state their needs which was followed by open network time.

Truckee Jobs Collective Meetups

These meetings give employers and job seekers an opportunity/platform to meet and network in person.  Everyone in attendance gave a short stump speech followed by open network time. These meetings are fast paced, very interactive and casual.
