Truckee Community Christmas is an all-volunteer, non profit 501(c)(3) umbrella organization that coordinates various drives that are happening during the holidays to help families in need in the Truckee area. Our board members work with agencies such as the Family Resource Center, Project MANA, and area schools and churches to identify needy families and provide food, grocery gift cards and age-appropriate toy for each child in the family. The senior program provides gifts, food, and grocery gift cards to identified low income seniors and to area homebound seniors. All goods provided to recipients are donated by community members.
Last year, Truckee Community Christmas benefited several hundred families, teenage moms and their babies, low income and homebound seniors. All residents in the Truckee area are invited to pitch in and help where they can! To find out more about how you can help, visit truckeecommunitychristmas.com
